Today: a solstice sit and a few things I'm offering this summer

Hey Rebel Reader !

Another quick one before the longest day tips toward evening, and I hit the road again.

I'm just back from the IRE conference in Washington DC a few intense days of workshops and lightning coaching sessions with investigative journalists doing the work that holds truth to power. A humbling crowd, and an honor to work with all of them.

Heading to Oregon this week for Overland Expo PNW. If you're in the Pacific Northwest, come find me. I'll be showcasing our adventure rig, and hosting workshops on mindfulness in nature for overlanders called "You Have Arrived". Learn how to drop in and fully arrive to yourself and the world around you. Prior attendees have shared that this gave them a whole new way to experience their favorite hobbies.

I'd love to say hi in person. Stop by the DIY showcase, or find me on the schedule to attend a session.

A few things I'm offering this summer season, in case any of them land for you.

🌞 Sunday Sit with Awake In The Wild: NTODAY at 4:30 PM PT

Solstice edition. 45 minutes. Free, on Zoom. We'll sit with the longest day - light, attention, the wisdom of slowing down on a day this loaded with momentum. On a day built for doing, choosing to stop on purpose is its own kind of rebellion.

🌅 Morning Solstice Celebration with Alex Gilman 9:00 AM PT

If you'd rather meet the day on the morning side, Alex is leading a 90-minute Summer Solstice Celebration with Awake In The Wild today: light, abundance, play, gratitude. Two ways to sit with the same day.

🔥 Awake In The Wild Teacher Training Fall 2026 Cohort

Speaking of Awake In The Wild, I'm a graduate of this program and I'm not shy to say out loud: it changed me. Mark Coleman and Lori have built one of the most grounded, beautifully held nature-based mindfulness trainings I've ever encountered. If you've ever felt called to guide others through the practice of being awake in the natural world ( to your own life, to landscape, to the conversation between them ) this is the training for you.

This is their 7th cohort. Registration is open. If it's calling, take a closer look.

[Fall 2026 Training Details]

(Full transparency: AITW offers alumni a $500 referral if you enroll through me. I'd recommend this training the same way without it, but you should know, and the funds earned go towards a scholarship for a member of the Rebellion Collective with financial constraints.)

📖 Owning Your Story: Workshop with Victoria Carrington Chávez | June 23

Tuesday, June 23, I'm hosting Victoria Carrington Chávez - TEDx speaker, Narrative Strategist, Founder of Lilac & Aspen for a 90-minute interactive workshop in partnership with Rebellion Collective. We're calling it "Owning Your Story."

Her frame: owning your story invites evolution.

For the cycle breakers. The mid-career rebels. The founders, coaches, creators, and thought leaders who are tired of editing themselves into someone they're not.

Free for RC members. $50 public. $100 Pay It Forward (covers your seat + sponsors a scholarship seat to the event).

Free Scholarship available by approval.

[Grab a seat] · Tue June 23, 10am MT · 90 min · Zoom · recorded for members + ticket holders for 3 months.

Hope to see you a little further down the trail.

Be Rebellious.
In solidarity ✊

Hey Rebel Reader ! Quick one, because it's happening today. This morning is our monthly Rebellion Collective gathering. It's the room we build for people in transition: navigating burnout, a layoff, the question of what work is even for, or the slower realization that you've lost touch with your body and your joy along the way. Different doorways, same room. We open in presence, share a short talk on the month's theme (this time, the V.O.I.D., the forces quietly draining your capacity), then...

Hey Rebel Reader ! The dates I sent for this month's Awake In The Wild sessions were not the real dates. I had a moment, the calendar had a moment, and you got the wrong information. Here's what's actually happening: Morning Sits with Awake In The Wild May 11th to 14th / 18th to 22nd, Mon to Fri, 7:30 AM PT. Roughly 30 minutes. Free, on Zoom. [Register here] Kit is corrected now, but yesterday's email isn't retroactively fixable. So this is me fixing it the analog way. See you on the cushion!...

Hey Rebel Reader ! The next three weeks are full. I wanted to put it all in one place in case you want to find me. I'm leading the Awake In The Wild morning sits all this week and next, covering the Sunday Sit tonight at 4:30PM PT, running three Wild Rebellion sessions at Boulder Startup Week. Heading to the SABEW Journalism Conference in Philly, and after that Bex and I head down to Overland Expo in Flagstaff. Whew! Spring has sprung. Sunday Sit with Awake In The Wild Sunday May 3rd, 4:30 PM...
